There are seasons in ministry that feel full—but not always in the right ways. Full calendars. Full responsibilities. Full days that leave little room for the people who matter most. And somewhere in the middle of it all, connection can quietly drift.
Throughout Scripture, we see God meet His people not just in stillness—but in shared moments. Around tables. Along the water. In the in-between spaces where life is actually lived together.
The Full Buck Adventures Summer Cabin is an invitation into that kind of life again.
This is not a retreat built on structure—it’s built on freedom. Long, sun-filled days with nowhere to be. Space to laugh, to explore, and to reconnect with your people in a setting that feels alive and unhurried.
Mornings start slow—coffee on the porch, mist rising off the water. By midday, the lake becomes the gathering place. Swimming, paddling, casting a line, or just drifting—shoulder to shoulder, side by side. No rush, no agenda. Just being out there together.
Boats out on open water, the kind of rides where conversation comes easy and laughter carries. Canoes cutting across still stretches. Kids jumping off the dock again and again. Fishing lines cast with no pressure to catch anything—just the rhythm of it. And when the sun begins to set, everything softens. The water goes still. The sky opens up. Evenings invite you to slow all the way down—shared meals, quiet reflection, stories that don’t get cut short.
Summer has a way of bringing lightness back—of restoring joy in relationships that have felt weighed down. This is your space to enjoy your people again. Not as pastor, not as leader—but as husband, wife, parent, friend.
It’s not about stepping away from purpose.
It’s about rediscovering joy within it.

The cabin adventure was an incredibly refreshing, exciting getaway for our family. We all loved it. From coffee and devotions on the deck overlooking the lake, to sunset pontoon cruises, each day was filled with fun. We planned some totally unique meals with the awesome kitchen, grills, and smoker. The canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and water-mat provided lots of fun and exercise. And of course, the jet skis were a blast while tubing with Mable was a hit! We are so grateful for the time at the cabin with our family!
PS - We also used the cabin adventure to really encourage our kids (pastor's kids) that sometimes they might do extra things as pastor's kids, but there are extra blessings from God too!
