Throughout the Gospels, Jesus regularly withdrew to quiet places—not to step away from the mission, but to remain grounded in it. In the stillness, He prayed. He listened. He was renewed.

This is that kind of space.

A deer hunt with Full Buck is more than time in the woods—it’s a week of intentional renewal. Each morning begins early—4 AM, stepping into the dark, leaving behind the weight of ministry. By the time you settle into the blind, everything slows. The noise fades, and what’s left is a quiet that makes room for what’s been pushed aside for too long. Just you. The woods. The Lord. And maybe one trusted guest beside you—someone who knows how to sit in that silence with you.

The hunt is intentional, but the greater purpose is rest—space to process, to pray, and to hear clearly again. Back at the lodge, the rhythm continues. Shared meals, biblical teaching, and honest conversation with other pastors create moments of encouragement and perspective. Each day offers focused time to care for your soul, your family, and your calling—reminding you of what matters most.

With everything provided—lodging, meals, gear, and guides—your role is simple: be present. In the stillness. In the brotherhood. In what the Lord is doing.

You’re not here to achieve something.
You’re here to be restored.

Chance has spent nearly 30 years in the woods, with his earliest hunting memories alongside his dad. By age nine he had already harvested his first turkey and whitetail, sparking a lifelong passion for the outdoors. His experience includes guiding with Hope Outdoors, a ministry serving hunters with disabilities, and now with Full Buck Adventures.

As one of our Deer Management Specialists, Chance brings expertise in stand placement, food plot design, trail cameras, and habitat management. He loves the mental challenge of outsmarting mature bucks, but what he values most is helping pastors find rest, renewal, and authentic connection in the wilderness.

His most treasured memory is seeing the joy on his son’s face after harvesting his first buck. With more than a decade of guiding experience—many of those hunts with military veterans—Scott now serves as the Lead Deer Management Specialist at Full Buck Adventures.

He specializes in food plot design and strategy, from crop selection and planting to soil and habitat management. For Scott, the reward comes when months of preparation pay off in a successful harvest. Just as meaningful are the conversations he shares with pastors in the stand and around the table, learning their stories of struggle, perseverance, and victory.

Director, Full Buck Adventures

Greg has been pursuing whitetails for more than 20 years and now serves as Director of Full Buck Adventures. In addition to his leadership role, he carefully tracks and manages every buck on the farm over three and a half years old—deciding which deer to grow, which to cull, and which to prioritize for breeding.

Greg’s passion for hunting is rooted in both the challenge and the reward. He thrives on the mental chess match with one of the smartest animals in the woods, and nothing excites him more than seeing a hunter accomplish a goal they once thought impossible. As a guide, his favorite part of Full Buck is creating opportunities for pastors who may never have had the chance to hunt, while spending time together in the outdoors celebrating God’s goodness and building lasting friendships.

Absolutely nothing besides travel and your big game hunting license! We outfit you with guns and gear, as well as provide food, lodging, and a private hunting guide.

Yes, you can bring one guest to Deer Hunting! Can be anyone you want within reason, who is mature enough to handle silently hunting in the woods and some very early mornings! Mature kids, fellow pastors, and friends have all been brought along.

Deer Hunting is located in McEwen, Tennessee, about an hour west of Nashville. If pastors want to fly in to BNA we offer free airport pickup.

We offer a couple of "make up" weeks every year. These are reserved for pastors who have gotten sick and need to miss their deer hunt. We don't want anybody's coughing to scare the deer away, so we ask that you keep these weeks open in your calendar to ensure you still get to hunt in the case of sickness.
